Chain Letters

I've received several chain letters via email recently. One from Gerrie, invited me to send a favorite recipe to Melody Johnson (always preferring to keep on Gerrie and Mel's good sides , I fired one off immediately!). This one, while rather comical, is asking for entirely too much:

Dear Friends,
This chain letter was started in hopes of bringing relief to other tired and discouraged women. Unlike most chain letters, this one does not cost anything. Just send a copy of this letter to five of your female friends who are equally tired and discontented. Then bundle up the man in your life, send him to the woman whose name appears at the top of the following list, and then add your name to the bottom of the list. When your turn comes, you will receive 15,625 men. One of them is bound to be better than the one you already have. At the writing of this letter, a friend of mine had already received 184 men,of whom one may be well worth keeping. An unmarried woman living with her widowed mother was able to choose between a Chippendale dancer and an Olympic swimmer. You can be lucky, too, but DO NOT BREAK THE CHAIN! One woman broke thechain and got her own husband back! So let's keep it going, ladies! Just add your name and address to thelist below:
Laura Bush1600 Pennsylvania AvenueWashington, D.C

Yes, indeed, it is funny, but C and I have been having so much fun lately, that I couldn't even begin to think of shipping him off! Besides that, after 36 years of Boot Camp, he's finally catching on! So, I'm sorry to say, that I'm keepin' him!!

I have no pics to wow you today. We did some decorating around the house yesterday, and took Barker on a long walk around the golf course, then enjoyed dinner out with friends. This afternoon, while my Sunday Soup is simmering, we are going out to cut a Christmas tree and then decorate it. Maybe I'll have some pics for you tomorrow.

Enjoy the season............I am.

Well, after 40 years together I think I'll keep mine too even though I get very irritated with him sometimes.
He's almost, read a l m o s t, how I want him, and I don't have the energy to "teach up" a new man ;-)
