Ahhhhhhhhhh: Spring!

I took a little walk around the garden this morning, and snapped these Spring flower pics for you. It is warm and lovely here today. The weatherman is predicting rain and cooler temps for the rest of the week, so I'm enjoying this bit of Spring time today.

I love the native Red Buds...in fact I love them so much that we planted three in our yard several years ago.

Daphne is another of my favorite early bloomers.
She sits right near our front door and greets visitors
with her sweetest perfume.

These Hosta are just poking up their first little shoots.

Our Hellebores have been blooming
for several weeks now and will soon
be going to seed.

I think this is called a Siberian Squill. I just adore it...it seems to pop up out of nowhere, blooming away in its pretty blue hat.

You all are very quiet of late...I know that you are there, but you are so silent! Do drop a line and let me know what you are up to!

I have spring fever too. It has been a busy couple of weeks and does not look like it will change soon.

Your yard looks like our neighborhood. We do not have a lot of flowering plants. My helebores were gorgeous this year. I have some daffodils almost blooming. I love the smell of Daphne when I take walks. The Rhodie garden is beginning to show great color. Ta!

How lucky you are to have warmer temperatures! I still walk around in my winter clothes. There is frost most every night. The flowers are too early, it is way too cold for insects.

We, on the other hand, didn't have any cold weather this winter, so we've had flowers growing on our balcony since, well, the summer. Now we have a tomato plant with about 18 tomatoes on it already, Yesterday it was in the mid-80's and will be the same today. Hillary is coming next week, and in a month or so Obama will come. They'll stay in the hotel across the street! xxoo Carol

Lovely spring flowers! Here in Skåne-Sweden we have very cold weather at the moment, and the forecast for this week is SNOW!!!!
Last week we had some warm and sunny days here in the south parts of Sweden, but no spring flowers besides the small white Snowdrops.

I have become a bad commenter since I started using Google Reader--too much trouble to have to click through to the blog to leave a comment! Love your spring photos. My daffodils are blooming and the yellow is just what my soul needs after a hard winter. I miss my daphne--the hay fever was totally worth the wonderful smell!

You are making me jealous. We are in the middle of yet another blizzard. Will it never end??? There are no flowers daring to peek their heads out yet around here.

You are about 5 weeks ahead of us and I am so looking forward to the redbud and viburnum bursting into bloom - and the lilacs, tulips, daffs, roses - bring them on! Take a deep whiff of the scent for me! Cheers.
