Slow Cloth & Studio Time

I've had a bit of time today
to begin the Stumpwork on my silk piece.
It is tedious, and I can only do a bit at a time
as the piece is so large, I must stand while I work
with the silk laying out across my sewing table.

But it's well worth it, I think.
Here's a detail shot:

It's quite nice to have some embroidery in my hands
after all these years!
Slow cloth is good!

I had just a few minutes today to run out to the studio
and try out the stamps I found last week at Kudzu.
Funny thing: the first paints that hit my fingers were
rust and navy!  There seems to be a theme here!
I'm not sure what the above stamp actually is.
What do you think?
Do I spy bird or duck footprints?
What's your guess?

Here's the other stamp

makes a lovely border, doesn't it!

thanks for stopping by!

peace

The stitching adds a lot. The texture is yummy! Enjoy your "meditation" time stitching!
