Wildflowers of the Great Smoky Mountains

Yellow Trillium,  Trillium luteum

Daisy-fleabane, Erigeron strigosus

Dutchman's Pipe, Aristolochia macrophylla (durior)

Mountain Spiderwort, Tradescantia subaspera var. montana

I don't know moths and butterflies!

I love the yellow trillium. No, I covet the yellow trillium! And the Dutchman's pipe! The spiderwort I have tried to eradicate with little luck. LOL! The yellow trillium next to the scarlet black ones from my Gram would be beautiful. Hope you are having a beautiful weekend.

Lovely photos, I really enjoy seeing what grows on your side of the world. I had to laugh at Jeannie saying she has problems with the spiderwort. In my garden it just struggles along, unlike its other tradescantia relatives, which are a real menace. I'd love to grow a trillium, yellow or scarlet black, but I don't think the coast is the right place. Thanks for sharing these. xox
