S-L-O-W

I'm slowing down this year.
It's intentional
and I like it.
I began the piece above in the summer of 2011
during the last month of my Mom's life.
She was under Hospice Care,
and I was grieving.
It, along with four other pieces,
gave me an outlet for my grief,
but after she died,
I couldn't look at them without crying.
I tucked them away.
The pain has passed,
time heals all wounds they say,
and I am slowly stitching away on these pieces,
remembering my Mom
in a comforting way.

Memory stitching ... I wonder if there is anything more potent? Lovely cloth, Judy.

Wonderful stitching...and I've been wondering where you were. Glad to hear you've slowed down this year. There's no reason to power through anything any longer. Besides, I'm finding I'm getting more done by taking it all more slowly, and following my muse instead of trying to impose a preordained structure to what I'm doing.
Have a blessed weekend, my friend! xoxo

Judy, your fabric is really beautiful. This will always have great meaning for you - a lovely memory of your Mom. And slowing down has to be good! xox
