Two WIPS finished!

I took a 'finishing lesson' in knitting
at our local yarn shop last week.
I had (emphasis on had)
three knitting projects that needed to be sewn together.
Above is my new Chevron Vest,
which I am delighted with!
I cannot wait to wear it!
The yarn is so soft and silky,
and I think I will have many opportunities to wear this
in our climate.

It took me a while to get the pattern figured out,
but it was well worth the time
and effort.

This is the Chunky Vest:

I actually finished knitting this a year ago!
All I needed to do was sew up the side seams.
I love the colors -
it will go with almost everything I own!
(I'm thinking of removing the button -
think it looks kind of dorky!)

Here's the back:

This will be a great casual vest,
and I'm sure I will layer it with a
gazillion different things
next year!

I have yet to sew the third sweater together,
but now that I am absolutely sure
that I know how to do it,
it won't take me long.
Then I can proceed with its sleeves
and front band.
It will be another great 3-season sweater.

Thanks for dropping by!

Peace to you!

Look at you go! I love to knit/crochet, but the putting stuff together always has been my downfall. The stitching and blocking in particular. Love the chevron sweater and the chunky vest is so much fun. Perhaps a more dramatic button or one of the shawl stick thingies? I have been thinking about you all day today and your fun week coming up. xo

Wow... they are both lovely, but that second one is my favorite. LOVE the colors and the pattern. I agree with you about the button.

The Chevron Vest is gorgeous and the chunky one has great colours. I tend to agree about the button too, could you manage without it? Or as Jeannie said, maybe an even more dramatic button. I'm not sure what a shawl stick thingie is but I love the description. xxx
