Reverse Applique

Since our visit to the National Textile Museum,
I've been blown away by the works of
Agus Ismoyo and Nia Fliam,
particularly their addition of
reverse applique into their beautiful silk hangings.
So, I'm giving it a try.

I love the wonderful contrast
of yellow green and red violet,
and thought this silk needed a bit of pimping...
so why not!

I can't wait to do more!!

as always, thanks for stopping by

peace to you

LOL!!! Gerrie commented first because I was trying to get the sewing machine un-jambed! I love the reverse applique! The shot of color is beautiful and I like the use of a triangle design. Woo Hoo! Look at you go!

Love the effect that this creates.

I do like this reverse appliqué and though I'd never heard of it before, the name describes it beautifully!

So great that you followed up on the inspiration! Love the colors, too.

This is gorgeous, Judy. I've just had a good time catching up here, you are so prolific! Giving up the word game really set you free. ;) Love the teacher piece concept and the artful process with your childhood diary pages. It's just all so wonderful, everything you've made! xoxo
