More of Niki de Saint Phalle

As you will read in my next two posts, blogger was giving me a hard time last night, when I was trying to upload my Niki de Saint Phalle photos to my blog. But today is a new day, and I've been able to post a few more pics! Enjoy!!!

These three sculptures are of Miles Davis. Aren't they wonderful?

Here's Satchmo:

This is "Gwendolyn". Niki's description reads: "Women are the Goddesses of creation. They are terrifying, full of possibilities. Pregnant with new life, Gwendolyn contains all those possibilities." WOW!!

Here are three photos of "Nana Maison II". You can see the enormity of this piece, with the young boy walking alongside the top photo. The black area just to his left is an opening into the maison.

The young boy had just emerged from the Nana Maison (maison is "house" in French). There is a bench inside where children were sitting, so you can see it is quite immense. I just love Niki's colors!!!

OK, time for breakfast...maybe more pics later.
