What a Blessing!

We spent the weekend in Atlanta, but hurried home to Gainesville this afternoon for the annual "Blessing of the Animals" at our home church, Grace Episcopal. You can read more about it here, but basically it is a celebration of the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi. We had not been able to attend in years past, but we thought that it would be a good thing to do with Barker, and I think, in his own way, he enjoyed it! Here he is with Father Doug, being blessed:

Here are the most unusual animals who showed up for the blessing, Rocky and Bullwinkle:
and here are a few others, with their Mistresses and Masters in tow (Halsey and Kathleen):
Suzanne and her buddy visit with Jean-Paul:

When we arrived home, I glanced out at the pool, and look at the cool images that the filter and the concrete dust have made on the bottom:

I thought at first that this last image looked like somebody's butt, but then I decided it was more like the upper torso!

Here's one of my Gerber Daiseys putting on an October show:

I water, fertilize and prune my Asters all summer long, and here they are in full bloom:

They never cease to bring me mounds of pleasure!

Hope you had a Blessed weekend too!

PEACE

Our blessing was yesterday, but what with M & M being here and the rainy weather, Maggie will have to go unblessed this year.

That dust on the bottom of the pool looks like hard work in my eyes, but the patterns are cool =))))

Don’t know if I made my self understandable about the pool. I meant that it will be hard work to clean it up, not to make the patterns =)
