Memories

Just this morning, this corner of my kitchen looked like this:

Now it looks like this:

The door to the left leads into my pantry, which is very commodious and will remain as it is. The doorway to the right and then a sharp left leads into my sunny diningroom. Half of the wall where the broom is leaning will be removed, and a counter top will be there, thus adding more light and a nice view to my kitchen, plus a pass through into the diningroom.

The adjacent wall looked like this this morning (but without all of the clutter):

And now it looks like this:

I apologize for the dark pics, but there are no lights in there right now.

Our friend Bob arrived on the scene at about 10:00 this morning. He had offered to take any unneeded cabinets off of our hands. Of course, my studio had first dibs. I ended up with about 15 feed of countertops and cabinets, plus my old center island, which has lots of drawers and cabinets. Bob helped me and C move things around and maximize the use of the old counters and cabinets. He went away with a couple of nice wall cabinets, which I couldn't use and he well deserved. The guys are going to put my island on casters, so I can roll it around. I think it will become my print table. This is almost as exciting as the kitchen reno!

Tonight we ate out. Our goal is to try as many local eateries which are new to us as possible. We went to Shane's Rib Shack this evening, as we both really enjoy barbeque, and it was very good.

And here is one tired boy:

Sorry Barker's a bit fuzzy tonight, but it is difficult to catch him in repose, so I shot the pic before I was really still. He had two hour-long walks today and had to supervise the demolition on top of all that! The crew already refers to him as "Bark", so I know he has assimilated into their ranks.

PEACE

Casters! What a thought! You and I are indeed neck-in-neck. What fun!

So much progress. You will love having a print table on casters. I have two - one for ironing and one for printing.
