Not only did my Complex Cloth and RR buddy Marga send me her fabulous thermofax screen that she had used on my RR piece, but also some lovely handmade Almond & Kelp soap...handmade by Marga herself!
Oh, I wish that I could hyperlink to the lovely aroma of the soap!! Needless to say, I have put it in the bag with my latest hand dyed yarn! MMMMMM! Thank you Marga!
I picked up these books at the local library the other day:
Actually, ahem, C picked them up for me, I simply put them on hold on the computer! I am such a lucky girl to have such a willing and helpful man! I have been a Kaffe Fassett fan for many years, but this book is so dated that most of the pieces are actually coming back into style now! I like the Nancy Bush book and may have to get a copy of my very own. Kristin had talked about the Last Minute Knitted Gifts book last year, and so I was pleased to find it in our local library. There are many interesting projects in there, especially the Chevron Scarf that Kristin knit.
Here is the first layer in a complex cloth piece that I started yesterday........
wait for pics of more steps!
I love this week's cover on Time:
Oh yes: WE DID!!!!
PEACE

Mmm, please keep posting your steps on that complex cloth- it both fascinates me and helps me learn, I feel like such an amateur at surface design. I'm waiting for an order of two dozen scarves from Dharma, hoping to make some Christmas presents. If they even approach your gorgeous ones, I'll be thrilled.
Hadn't seen that magazine cover, I like it! It's a nice change to WANT to listen to my president, haven't felt that way for more years than I care to remember.
Love that screen from Marga!I don't think I will be doing any handmade Christmas gifts this year. I will be plugging away on my show pieces.
I am still smiling about the new prez!!
I can't wait to see how are you going to use the thermofax screen. Love the beautiful yarn you dyed.
marga makes some very groovy cloth! so if the soaps smells as good as her cloth/quilts look you're gonna smell fabulous!
Hey
You left me a comment ! I dyed 3 pieces of fabric for a friend's BD and it was so fun. I have whittled down my fabric stash to only thigs I have bought and plan to dye fabric to sell and use myself in all colors. I have the fabric , just need to find the time to dye it. Yes I knit. It is soo much more portable. Some day we must meet at Hall County !
