An Easter Bouquet

As we walked Barker in our favorite little Midtown Atlanta neighborhood this morning, I snapped flower pictures on my iPhone. I hope you will enjoy them, even half as much as I did!

Carolina Jasmine

When we got back home, I did a tour around our various gardens to check things out, as we are at least a week behind Atlanta.

Peonies and Asters are coming along nicely.

My Ajuga is just beginning to bloom....another nostalgia plant for me!

The May Apples have suddenly 'popped'! I was worried about them this year. My friend Joanie gave them to me years ago, and they have multiplied! I love them! They are a great shade garden plant, and they disappear after blooming in early/mid Spring.

The Clematis on my mailbox already has six buds!

The Columbine blossoms in my pool patio garden are popping! Their buds weren't even visible a week ago!

Our Weeping Cherry: a gift from my Mom several years ago. I'm so glad that she will be here with us tomorrow, so she can see it in full bloom!

Hope I haven't bored you, but this is truly my favorite time of the year, and I wanted to share our garden walks with you! Thanks for stopping by!

PEACE

One of the things I miss about my Stone Mountain home is the weeping cherry tree in the front yard. I had gotten quite large and was incredibly beautiful. Thanks for sharing yours.

Thanks for the garden tour. I love the Carolina Jasmine and the weeping cheery. Spring just gladdens the heart. Have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Actually, the tree had gotten quite large, not I, and it was the beautiful one. Here in the mountains our daffodils have broken ground but have no buds yet. I am so anxious to plant some new things but with very hard freezes late in April for the last two years, I am holding off.

Beautiful flowers- we are just starting to see daffodils- and woke up this morning to a couple inches of new snow. At least I know it will melt quickly.

Love your new blog header, by the way. Hope your Easter is a blessed one.
