I was beginning to think that I was never going to show you another fiber-related picture in my posts! But here's one!
So this is the skein of 'cool colors'.........I'm not much of a cool color person, but I really do like this combination.
and here's the warm color sock yarn:
I'm very pleased with how both of the skeins came out, and I can't wait 'till they're totally dry so that I can get them wound up into balls and start knitting!
I also did some screenprinting this afternoon. I had dyed this silk broadcloth yesterday, and then screened it with some white textile paint, using a thermofax screen I had made from an old doodle.
When I was quite young, my Swedish Nana gave me some fabric that had a red background and white vines and flowers similar to these. I absolutely loved that fabric and finally talked my mother into making me a dress from it, as I was too young to do it myself!

The yarn is gorgeous, but I have to admit I don't get the sock knitting thing- I hate double pointed needles! Your feet will be very colorful, though!

That yarn looks fabulous, those are going to make gorgeous socks and I want a pair! Lovely memory about fabric, I think we all have one.
Such colors! Wearing jewels on your feet! Love the print, too, it is so charming in its slightly naive look.
Both cool & warm gorgeous colours, can't decide which one I like best.
