My sister-in-law Molly emailed me yesterday to comment privately about that day's blog post. While describing my hanging method for my Rusty Leaves piece, I said that it was a fete accompli. Molly politely corrected me by saying that what I truly meant was 'fait', as in 'done deal' rather than 'fete' as in party or celebration. Thanks Molly, for clearing that up. I was trying to sound waaay too high fallutin!
a few pics from our golf course walk this morning:
The sun peeped out from behind the clouds for just a few minutes as we walked. I was able to catch that one picture of my favorite view across the lake.
I just love Sassafras leaves: they are so much less serious than all the others, don't you think?
And today's task: to fix and finish the herons!
I somewhat like the idea of the stitching I've added, but it isn't quite right. I think I will work on another wing using a different technique and see if I can't make it more to my liking!
PEACE

It is always a party for me when I successfully complete a project!!
Have a creative day.
LOL! Fete on!
I like that stitching on the heron but I'm sure if you try something else it will look great too. Such a lovely image of the herons. xx
I have never seen sassafras leaves, they look wonderful. Your walk looks equally as amazing. You have been a busy woman. Walking and stitching.... I am looking forward to seeing the finished herons.
