A Little Bit of Fiber or Robbing Judy to pay Blogger

This is a post that was written last week, when I learned that I had no more capacity for uploading photos to my blog.  I am now taking Brenda's generous advice and deleting photos from my earliest blog posts, so as to give me more space.  I have also resized this photo, in hopes of staying within my size boundaries.  And when both of those steps did not help, I purchased more space from Blogger.

This morning I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to the closet which houses our hot water heater:  I had totally forgotten that before we left on our birding trip I had rolled some white canvas around several rusty strips of rebar.  The unveiling was similar to a pole-wrapped Shibori reveal: kind of like Christmas morning.  I was really pleased with the results, but wanted more.  As I putzed around out in the studio today, I thought of what I could do to this piece.  I've added another step, which you shall see later,
and am already thinking about the third layer.  What fun!!!!

PEACE

Your rusty canvas is gorgeous. That'll be fun to work with. Bother Blogger, so much for being free! Maybe they are getting too big for their boots! XO

Yummy! Carmel sauce on vanilla ice cream or birch trunks. Where did I put those rusty nails! Can't wait to see what you do next.

I love your rusty fabric!

I just checked the photo that you posted and it is quite large. If you tried to reduce it in size I don't think you succeeded. I generally resize my photos to no more than 500 pixels in width, which is plenty for posting and saves you tons of KBs.

I think we should not bother blogger for limiting their space; it is free webspace, after all, with no adverts. Providing webspace used to be a costly action if we remember how small the storing media once were. We wouldn't dare to think in categories of gigabyte then. It is a present.

I love the rust piece. It reminds me of trees in a forest...
