A Little Celebration

I'm having a little celebration here, due to the fact that I've written 902 blog posts!  This makes 903.....that's a lot of words, and as you may know, many photos too!  I'd like to thank you all who continue to come back to read my posts and leave such wonderful and uplifting comments!  I wish I could give back to you all even just a smidge of the joy that you continue to give me.  So in an attempt to show some gratitude, I'm offering two books.  The one above is lovely, with tons of cute and colorful photographs and loads of patterns.  In fact, I like it so much that I have two of them!!!

The book below is another great find, and if you are into playing with fabric like I am, you will enjoy it immensely.  I also have two of this one!

Here's the deal: leave a comment telling me which book you would like and why.  The cutoff date is Thursday November 4th at NOON!  I will announce the lucky winners that evening and mail out the books on Friday.

I am flying to San Antonio on Saturday and will be spending next week studying more surface design techniques with my eleven classmates, under the tutelage of the fabulous Jane Dunnewold.  I can hardly wait!!!  This is Jane's Mastery 2010 Class, and it's a great group.  My 'homework' is almost done, all of my 'gear' is piled up and ready for me to attempt to load into one or two suitcases.  Of course, I can't bear to have idle hands on my flight, so I've started another pair of socks:

This yummy yarn was a birthday gift from the fabulous Jeannie.  Isn't it gorgeous!    I'm waiting for another book of hat, glove and scarf patterns to arrive in the mail before I can begin an adorable hat for the grandbaby....if it's a girl.  The boy hat is done, all except for its pompom, but I wanted something a bit more feminine for a little girl.

So, that's it for today!  Don't forget to leave a comment, even if you're a new reader.  I'd love to hear from you and put you in the running for one of the books.  Also, don't forget to come back on Thursday to find out the lucky winners, who will be randomly picked.

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

PEACE

I'd prefer the Manipulating Fabric book, since there are no babies around here. Even the grandchildren are all in school.
Jane Dunnewold-how lucky can you get! I have some of her books and love them. Looking forward to some interesting posts about that work shop.

I will be in San Antonio in spirit. I would like the second book. I don't think I will have need of sewing for a baby, again. Sigh

Manipulating fabrics is ever so tempting, even at my age I have a lot to learn.

Have a wonderful week, Judy, and take lots of photos. I won't put my name in for either book - I can't/don't sew and I have enough on my hands manipulating paper, so I'm sure there are others who would make better use of the fabric book. Hugs to Barker, who will miss you. ooxx

Hi Judy,

Here in San Antonio at o'casey's. It has been chilly here. Saw alot of the city with Don but had to go buy a jacket. Going to Gallery Nord today to see the fiber artists' exhibit. Can't wait to see everyone, Jill gets here sometime today and Annalisa gets here tomorrow. I would love the baby book. See you soon!
