Ohhhh LaLa!

Well, the results are in and I am really very excited at how well this silk scarf turned out!  As you may recall from yesterday's post, this was a rather serendipitous process, using a few Procion MX dyes.  I batched the scarf overnight and washed it out this morning.  The colors, as you can see, are very vibrant!
Here is one detail shot

You can see more detail shots here.

The thing that I like the most is how the colors blend and how some of the dye mixes have haloed a bit.  I was hoping that this would occur, so I feel that I'm learning to predict results and use the Procion MX dyes to my advantage.  That said, you may see a bit of 'dappling' or staining of the red areas with a bit of blue in a few of the detail shots.  That occurred when I wrapped the scarf in plastic for batching: a bit of operator error.  Hopefully I will use more care next time!

PEACE

This is beautiful Judy! I know it would be hard for me to do another thing to it but I know you are in Dunnewold's Master Class and I'm wondering if you plan to add another layer.
