Before we left home this morning, I rinsed out the piece of silk I had worked with yesterday. I am still doing trial work for some final pieces, but I must say I'm pretty happy with these results. Yes, it appears mottled and out of focus, but that was the look I was striving for!
We brought lunch to our kids, as they had hurried to their new/old home in order to beat the movers there. It's a delightful home with a commodious front porch, in a wonderful small town. The weather couldn't have been more perfect for their move, with temps in the low 70s. Charlie and I spent most of the afternoon camped out on the front porch supervising the movers. We were pleasantly surprised when a new neighbor dropped by with a dozen apple muffins! YUMMMM: Delicious and so very thoughtful!
We both napped a bit.....but don't tell anyone! Hope to have more pics tomorrow!
PEACE

That is an adorable photo of the two of you. And, the latest silk up there is beautiful.
So sweet. I love that it is a grandma's job to hold the baby. Don't they feel great all snuggled against you like that?
I love the photo of you and Charlie. The heron piece is gorgeous. I want that porch!!! Especially if I could put rockers, geraniums, and hang fushcias, and have you over for sweet tea. Of course, you'd have to tell me how to make it. LOL! Have a great weekend.
Oh, look at you and Charlie. Do you know, no matter how big they get, that is still a wonderful moment when they snuggle up like that. What a beautiful pair you make. xxoo
You both look very relaxed. The new house looks beautiful.
Wow! It just doesn't get much better than you and Charlie on the front porch.
