Happy Days

Yesterday's mail brought yet another birthday gift!

My friend Gerrie, who used to be simply a 'virtual friend' but then became reality when we shared digs while enjoying a class in Coupeville, WA and also the SDA conference two years ago, sent me a copy of Twelve by Twelve!  She is one of the gang of Twelve and by reading her blog (and the Twelve blog, plus those of others in the group), I have been very interested in this publication.  I had intended to purchase my own copy, but life had simply gotten in the way, so I was very pleased to receive this lovely copy.  If you don't already have your own, I strongly suggest that you get one today.  It is a lovely book: full of eye candy, personal stories, and lots of instruction.  I have barely begun to read it, but I can tell you that I just love it!  I met Karen Rips, another of the Twelve, two years ago at a workshop, and so I am also very interested in reading her excerpts.  And then there's Terry Grant, Kristin La Flamme and Brenda Gael Smith: all of whom's blogs I often read, and with whom I've corresponded over the years.  Now I'm interested in finding out more about the rest of the group.  It's a terrific read, and I know you will love it too!   Thank you so much Gerrie!!!!

A cold front blew through the southeast Thursday evening, leaving much of Atlanta powerless and in quite a mess, but thankfully there were no tornadoes here!  We awoke this morning blanketed in fog:

My photo doesn't really do it justice, as it was actually a lot thicker than it looks here.

It was a cool 66 degrees, and our morning walk was delightful!  The sun is now poking through, and it promises to be a lovely holiday weekend, with loads of festivities.

Charlie turned six months old yesterday!

I really can't believe it!  Sometimes it seems as if he's always been here, but then at other times, I can't believe how the time is flying.  I'm looking forward to having lunch with him and his parents tomorrow!

PEACE

Charlie is so adorable. He appears to have a wonderful disposition!! I see a resemblance to his maternal grandma.

I am glad the book made it to Georgia and didn't get blown off track.

Guess he's always been here, but decided to live with your family 15 months ago. What a darling. Have a lovely weekend!

I hope you enjoy the Twelve by Twelve book--there was a lot of love put into its making!

Charlie is adorable and looks like a perfect little "Charlie!" Our Marco turned 9 months this month and I have those same feelings. How quickly it all goes by.

Aw Charlie, you get cuter every time Mimi shows a new picture of you. Judy, I like that you are still celebrating!;) The Twelve book is on my list for the next Amazon order. It looks wonderful and it is so fun to "know" the people in it. Have a wonderful weekend.
