Pillowmania

Hmmmm, well now that I look at this final pillow in conjunction with my others, it sticks out like a sore thumb....but it won't be situated next to its cousins anyway! This is just to show you all of them together.

This last one

took a bit more time, but it was fun, and I had some good entertainment.  (I was watching some instructional dvds while I sewed.)  This one incorporates many of my shibori fabrics from the wonderful workshop I took with Jan Myers Newbury a couple of years ago.  I hated cutting into those pieces, but they weren't doing anyone any good sitting in a stack of fabric.  And they all are so pretty that they need to be appreciated!

Here are the pillow backs

They look almost as pretty as the fronts!  And what a quick and easy way to change the look of our living room!

Here's what arrived in our market basket yesterday

I am enjoying roasting loads of veggies on our gas grill this summer.  Last night I sliced up the Tromboncino squash, drizzled it with olive oil, shook on a bit of s & p, and tossed it into the grill basket.  I added another basket with some of the rose gold potatoes, and then I put on some slices of watermelon and peach halves in another grill pan.  There's nothing like a summer supper off of the grill.
Tonight's dinner will probably feature grilled corn, okra and tomatoes.  MMMMM!

I found this wonderful seersucker at the local (horrible) fabric store the other day

Guess what I'm going to do with it?????  Our little town is actually getting a JoAnn's!  I'm hoping that with a bit of competition, both will have a better stock than the current store has.  I would hate it if the new kid on the block drove the old one under....but we shall see.  Speaking of new stores, we are also being gifted with a yarn shop....a real yarn shop, not just the JoAnn's!!  WooHoo!!!  Life is indeed good!

PEACE

The pillows are fabulous -- you've inspired me and the circles -- what a great idea for combining some of the stash that's not seeing the light of day. Thanks and I hope your toe is better -- ouch!
