The Week That Was

It's been a crazy week: we've gone from late summer to late fall weather literally overnight!
I'm eagerly packing up to spend a blissful week in San Antonio, studying with Jane Dunnewold.
Above is my current piece of 'Joy' - but it's only just begun.  Many layers to go!

Barker and I had magical morning walks on the golf course.
It was foggy and when the sun's rays streamed through the trees, it was breathtaking.

I spotted two deer in the backyard the other morning.
They stayed long enough for me to snap this pic as the Mom leapt across the lawn.

My hydrangeas are about spent, but still give me joy.
I know Jeannie: it's time to clip them!

Speaking of Joy - there's nothing better than having this little angel napping on me!

peace

Hi Judy,
Your Joy piece is wonderful -- great that you can work so large! Re: hydrangeas, they make wonderful dried flowers, BTW!

What a beautiful post. The sun streaming through the trees is so gorgeous, as is your artwork (aptly named, by the way!) And Charlie, oh what a sweet little boy. LOL! I'm not going to say a word! I do wish mine would turn that beautiful burgandy before the freeze hits. I only harvested half and I am hoping I'll getting better color on the half remaining. But the neighbors have their bouquets.

Your piece is gorgeous as is... can't wait to see the finished product. Your post was particularly lovely with all the good Fall pictures. :o)
