The Gift That's Kept on Giving

My sister-in-law Molly gives the greatest gifts!
Above is a lovely apron that she gave me for Christmas
several years ago.
I adore it and wear it often,
but I save it for special entertaining occasions.

I was trying to think of a way in which I might use the
citrus monoprints I had made with my
Gelli Arts Print Plate,
and it suddenly dawned on me that
they would make a great apron pocket.
So, I've dyed some cotton duck a lovely golden yellow
to match the yellow in the monoprints and
voila!

I've also been spending time sewing on
some other gifts

I don't machine sew as often as I should -
it feels good!

Cute aprons! I dusted off my machine the other day and it was like riding a bike. Of course, I sewed a facing in backwards - lol!

Ah yes...there was a time in the early 70s when I made everybody's Christmas gift and something different for everyone, sewn, knit or crocheted. Enjoy it! xo
