Production

I let the flour paste and textile paint sit
for a few days on my silk,
but today I couldn't stand the wait any longer.
Here's how it looks with the paint/flour paste-encrusted layer removed.
I love it!
It looks course, but the silk is so soft and smooth - just like it should be!

I'm going to let the paint cure for a few more days
and then I'll heat set it,
 wash the silk,
soak it in vinegar,
and begin the next layer.
I'm really thrilled with it.

In the meantime, I'm working on a silk charmeuse scarf.
Hopefully I'll have some photos to share tomorrow.

My friend Carol introduced me to a new iPhone/iPad app today.
It is called Paper Camera.
I uploaded it and fooled around for a few minutes,
taking pictures of my boys.

Bosco is so dark that the effect doesn't show much,
but it is great on Barker...and the floor and background.

I particularly like this picture
of my glass of iced coffee that was sitting on my desk

This app may prove to be very valuable with Thermofax screens!
Thanks Carol!!

Our weather has been glorious since our arrival home from Texas.
It has been dry and in the low to mid 70s.
I am planning to spend a good bit of tomorrow in my garden -
a pleasure I have denied myself for far too long!

peace

Oh, I love your PaperCamera photos of the boys. They look magnificent! And doesn't the iced coffee look really special? And yummy, too.
