A Day of Play

This is one of Dharma's rayon cowls -
dyed and overdyed.
I am really pleased with how it turned out.
Here's another view:

It looks a bit of a mish-mash here,
but in real life the colors are very rich and pleasing.

a detail shot:

We are having our church dinner group here tomorrow night,
so I've spent several enjoyable hours playing in my kitchen.
I'm a huge fan of Ina Garten, The Barefoot Contessa.
I'm serving her Stilton Crackers as one of our hors d'oeuvres.
They are yummy and oh so easy to make!

Here they are just before I popped them in the oven.
Now they are a lovely golden brown,
and melt in your mouth!

I'm serving Panna Cotta for dessert
(with fresh local strawberries macerated in Triple Sec and local honey).
Do you notice a theme here?
Pretty much everything is made in advance.
That way I can enjoy our guests too!

It's been a really nice day:
experimenting in my dye studio
and my kitchen!
What could be better?????

peace
