Back in the Saddle

Letters Home Two
finally got some attention today!
It's been difficult to carve out time
to work on it -
even though I find it so relaxing.

I am making progress -
and,
seriously:
what's the hurry?

I have my eco dyeing silks
lined up
on my studio drying rack.
The bundles closest to you
are the most recently eco dyed.
I've tagged and catalogued them all,
so that I will know what is inside,
what gets opened when,
etc.

Here are today's bundles:

I first brewed up some onion skin 'tea',
 skimmed it,
added my two bundles,
and let them simmer & steep
for a while.
Now they are resting -
three weeks to go!
Not sure that I've ever had a three week rest!

and this is my favorite bundle:

I love all of the subtle colors!

thanks for dropping by!

peace

I love the bundles waiting to be opened. I like the little glimpses of color in the last bundle. I have marked the calendar for the big reveal! LOL!

My dear talented blogging sister, I am amazed every time I visit your blog. The things you do with your fabric, dyes and sewing skills are just mind-blowing. You are every special!

Waiting for people to open their bundles is almost as exciting as opening one's own, it appears! I'm very new at this (the bundling and the waiting!) But am lving it and am so eager to see what evolves with my felting and the eco-dyeing! Eager to see what evolves with your process. Love the letters from Home..will check back on that too.
