Eco Prints on Paper

A few weeks ago, I decided I wanted to try eco printing on paper.
I had absolutely no idea of what I was doing,
but the results of pieces that I had seen on the internet
were really appealing to me.

This is from the first batch that I eco printed

These two pages were together, with the leaves between them -
a nice echo!
I was pretty amazed that the prints came out so well.
Here are a few more from that batch:

In this first batch,
my papers were totally submerged in the dye bath,
and held down with a large, heavy plate.
The watercolor paper was even imprinted from the leaves.

I steamed this second, smaller batch of papers:

I think I like the results from the first batch better,
but I'm very pleased that both results were acceptable.

peace

Gorgeous results! I love paper that has plant material imbedded, but the prints are so much nicer. You don't have to worry about the slubs and such catching on your pen or brush. Beautiful work, Judy!

Really interesting results, Judy. Very tempting to try on paper, even though I said I wasn't tempted earlier. Great fun.
