was doing some color mixing this morning - and always love the effect when dropping a bit of one hue of Daler Rowney Acrylic Ink into another!
pretty cool, huh?
I am addicted to the Knitmore Girls Podcast. They have a new segment called "In Stitches", in which they talk about the hand-knit garments they have worn during the past week. As I listened, I realized that I have been wearing a lot of my own hand-knits now that it is winter and a bit chilly. Here are two:
1.the Eleanor Cowl, designed by Audrey Knight, and knit with Sundara's yummy aran silky merino. It was a pure delight to knit, both the interesting pattern and the feel of the yarn as it ran through my fingers. Now it is a delight to toss on when I want to keep a chilly breeze off of my neck.
2. the Sid Cowl, designed by Melissa LaBarre. This is a nice, long loop cowl. I wear it both ways: hanging loosely draped around my neck, or doubled for extra warmth at my neck. This is a Quince pattern and I knit it using their Tern yarn, which is 75% wool and 25% silk......another pleasurable knit, both on the needles and around my neck!
Of course I also wear my hand-knit socks every day of the week!

It sounds like a good podcast. I will love to listen to it too. It's wonderful to wear your own handmade creation. I'm not a very good knitter, but I certainly have a try. Love your cowl - Hugs Nat
What!!! No Maggie or Charlie photos? I am going through withdrawals! I must look for the cowl patterns! Since I no longer fear cables, I actually look for patterns with them. LOL! I love the top photos of the ink. I thought you had some exotic sea creature in your bowl. What are you doing with the ink? Okay, off to dig through the yarn stash. :)
Lovely splashes of color; beautiful and cuddly knits..and peaceful sky! xxoo
love that cowl!! I want one!
and you wear hand knit socks everyday? I am sooo impressed at your knitting! I failed at knitting a wash cloth... xoxo
I gotta get my inks back out!
I love the inks on ink. Reminds me a little of marbling before pulling the colours. Your cowls are beautiful, perfect for your weather. I don't think it would be cold enough here but then, who knows? We didn't expect such dreadfully hot summer weather either, but we certainly have it now. xox
