Technicalities

I have been bogged down with paperwork
and family matters
(and family really does matter!)
over the past few days,
which left little time to post on my blog.

What you see above is one of my beautiful
Camellias -
after enduring the eco-dye bath.
Its beauty about knocked my socks off
when I opened the bundle!

And here's how the silk/wool blend scarf
took the Camellia color:

This is one of the scarves that I had
previously dyed at the beach,
so it had been soaked in sea water
prior to eco dyeing.

The scarf was folded in half lengthwise
with the Camellia flowers
sandwiched between the two layers of fabric.
The cloth was wrapped around a copper pipe
and cooked for about 20 minutes.

Here's another image:

As for paperwork,
I've been busy learning how to work
my new website!
Yes, that's right....
my new website is about to be launched!
It's been in the works for about nine months now -
just like a little baby.
I'll let you know when it's live,
so you can go take a peek.

thanks for stopping by
peace to you!

Judy, the camellia is gorgeous! It looks like it is made of fine paper or silk. Your prints - wow!!! I am always so impressed with the results you get. A website!!! Woo Hoo!!!xoxo
