I set several goals for myself
after completing Jane Dunnewold's
Art Cloth Mastery program last Spring.
One was to begin entering my work
in juried shows.
I know many artists who do this
all the time,
and their wonderful works are accepted!
I completed "Second Stage"
with the intention of entering it in the
Sacred Threads 2013 exhibit
in Herndon, Virginia.
.....and I've just received notification
that it was juried in!
This is a piece that I dyed and printed
over and over again
during the last weeks of my Mom's life.
She was in hospice care,
and although she was 94 and had lived a
very good and full life,
I was angry that she was leaving me.
After she passed away,
I couldn't even look at this piece,
nor its four companions that all held my hands
during those last weeks.
But I'm now taking them out
and doing a lot of slow work embroidery on them.
It's therapeutic.
Thanks for dropping by!
Have a great weekend!
peace to you!!

Woo Hoo!!!! Congratulations! You know I am over the moon happy for you. You worked so hard on your mastery program and caring for your Mom, it is so nice to see all that effort reap its reward. Happy dancing on the west coast too!
Terrific news, Judy! Love that piece!
This is wonderful news! Your intention became reality, especially meaningful because of its relationship to your mother. I think there's some happy dancing going on in the heavens, too. xo
