Gelli Print Afternoon Delight

It was rather rainy the other afternoon,
so I dashed out to the studio,
grabbed some paints and my
Gelli Print Plate,
and had a bit of a paint party.
The image above,
and the one below,
were made by using old collagraph plates
I had made years ago.
These two prints are in my sketchbook.

In the following two images
you can see a bit of progression,
using Carla Sonheim's
'waterycolor' technique,
on a sheet of the paper I made in my
BULLI paper making class.

I think I may be in love with parts of this one!

The next two are also progressions
using my handmade paper
and stencils.
I wasn't happy with how this one was looking:

so, I added a bit more:

I like it better now.
I want to add some stitching to it

And this last one
is just packing paper
that I was using to clean off my brayer
and my stencils.

I'm not sure,
but I think I like it.

I'm off to Arrowmont today
for my class with Elin Noble.
 I will either be blogging a lot,
or so tired I won't blog at all!

Thanks for dropping by!

PEACE TO YOU!

Have a wonderful time at Arrowmont. At least that's one place I know and love. The prints are great and you're right, that addition you made (second last pic) was a stroke of genius. xxx
