Summer in the City

We spent a couple of nights in the city
this past weekend,
and were treated to this glorious view as we ate dinner
in our little condo.

Earlier in the day
the sky got very dark
as a storm passed us by:

this is another panorama shot from our balcony,
and you can see the outer corner of our unit on the right.

We went to see Woody Allen's new movie, Blue Jasmine
at Midtown Arts on Sunday.
I'm not always a huge Woody Allen fan,
but I really enjoyed this one.
Cate Blanchett is fantastic,
and Alec Baldwin isn't bad either.
So, go see it if you can!

We capped it all off with a fabulous
but very light shared dinner
at our favorite
ecco!

I tried to take a panorama of ecco
from our table
when we first sat down.
We were so lucky to get our favorite corner table,
a great waiter,
and of course,
a fabulous meal.
We ordered lightly:
a very tasty mixed lettuce salad,

then cucumber gazpacho with trout roe,
followed by
Strozzapretti, asparagus, peas, pine nuts, and pesto.
Craig had googled strozzapretti
and we knew that it was the priest strangler pasta.
Our server had two interpretations of that scenario...
you'll have to go to ecco to learn more!

thanks for stopping by

peace to you!
