A Great Day to Dye

Today is the first day I've been
out in my dye studio in a month!
Good gosh, have I missed it!!!
But as you can see,
I've got a few pieces of silk
bathing away.
I hope to have some great results
to share with you
in the next few days.

I also got the facing attached
to
"And So the Journey Begins"

My least favorite task of all awaits me:
handsewing it in place.
I hope I can make myself get started this evening
during the Braves' game.
I'll share a few pics
when it is completed.

I am so very proud of my friend
Look, she made the cover of
Quilting Arts!!!
WooHoo Gerrie,
I'm so proud to know you!!!

My heart goes out to my Colorado friends
who are facing the horrible flooding.
Be safe!

peace to you gentle readers!

My first response was, "gee I wish I was that organized"! The "color chips" so that you can flip through and decide the color, so different from my seat of my pants method. LOL! Second response was, "oh, look at the pretty colors"!!!!! I have told myself no dyeing this year. I don't know if I'll be able to resist. (yes, pun intended.) Have fun in the studio!!!!

Good to see you having fun in the studio again. I love your swatches -- did you take Carol Soderlund's class?
Hope you have a great weekend. Create something wonderful! xoxo

You are so organised with those sample swatches. Looking forward to seeing the results. Please tell me that the gorgeous piece that the dyes are sitting on is NOT your drop cloth!!

Waiting for my QA to be delivered, it looks like a good one.
