Crawling out.....

scenes from our morning walks

......from under my little rock!
I thought I had totally licked the Chemo monster
during my last date with it,
three weeks ago,
but it reared its ugly head again
this weekend.
UGH
Thankfully I've had no nausea,
but I'm oh so tired and listless.
There really are no words to describe the
total YUCK.

While I was still on my 'Decadron high'on Friday,
I enjoyed lunch out with Kathy,
a fellow cancer warrior and friend.
We share the same Oncologist
and the same birthday (!)
but different cancers.
She is a real fighter
and keeps me going
when I'm feeling low.

I managed to carve a lino stamp yesterday,
but that was about as creative as I got.
I've mastered a new sock knitting pattern,
which entertains me,
and I'm reading
"Orange is the New Black".
I've napped a lot,
eaten healthily,
and I look forward to a brand new day
and week
tomorrow!

I hope you've had a great weekend.
Our weather has been stunning!

thanks for stopping by!

peace to you and yours!

Judy, whatever you need to do to take care of yourself- do it! The energy will return at some point, as will the creativity. I'm sending you hugs & prayers from across the country.

Judy, just take care of yourself, that is what is most important. The energy and the creativity will return- who knows what this experience could spark in terms of your work?

Sending hugs and prayers from across the country--

I thought you had been a little quiet, but I was hoping you were just busy. So sorry your feeling lousy. But, only 2 more sessions and you can say adios! Gorgeous photos. Your lake is so pretty. Now, rest and let your body do what it needs to do. Sending you many hugs. xoxoxo

Hang in there, girlfriend! Sounds like you got a lot done for someone who's feeling so yucky - a stamp, reading a book, and making socks. Rest and recover. We'll be here waiting for you.

So sorry this was hard one this week. I know just how you feel--my chemo #3 was last Friday and it has been kicking me around the block this week. I find that this is the week that creativity, writing, even conversation just have to wait. Thanks to your example, however, I have taken up knitting again and finished an entire cap this week! Quite a feat for my sad, sad skills.
Sounds like you are starting to shake the yurgh, as am I. So, here's to a better week for both of us...

Hang in there, friend... glad you didn't have nausea. From others I know who have recently been through or are currently undergoing chemo, your exhaustion is about par for the course. Here's hoping it will pass soon! Thanks for sharing the gorgeous pictures... stunning colors!
BTW, I found a great pattern on-line for a prayer shawl, and I'm enjoying having a crochet project to work on after years of not crocheting! Busy hands are happy hands... ;-)
