A Wee Booklet

I am an absolute sucker
for handmade books of any shape and size.
Yesterday afternoon I dabbled with a new design:

The idea woke me from a sound sleep
a couple of nights ago,
and it took hours for me to get
the thoughts from running around in my mind.
(In retrospect, I should have gotten up right then and there,
and started the construction process!)
I'm a total sucker for the
string and button closure concept,
and if you look closely at the image above,
you'll see that my first attempt needs a bit of work…
but I'll get there!
So, this is just a simple book,
using leftover painted papers
for pages:

I love it, and look forward to making many more!

page one:

the back with a handy little flap
to hold 'treasures':

thanks for popping in!

have a superb weekend!

peace to you and yours!

Sweet! The back pocket is a great idea. Did you machine stitch the spine? I am also a sucker for button and string closures. Such a simple concept, yet it grabs me everytime. Have a gorgeous weekend and Happy Mother's Day!
