I really love the dyeing results of this Furoshiki!
It has just a hint of a violet-fuchsia to it, almost an iridescence.
I feel like I'm truly getting a handle on this ice dyeing on silk.
I had thought that perhaps the yellow and the blues would blend together in some places,
but like in many other ice and snow dyeing pieces,
the slowed process seems to keep the dyes from mixing,
or perhaps it has to do with the time in which each dye strikes the fabric?
Here's how the ice looked after I added the dye powder:
I'm having a grand time making more blocks for Maggie's quilt.
I added some greens today, which makes the violet and pinks pop.
Love it!
Thanks for stopping by.
Peace to you and yours!
