Day 79......Going Dotty

I am planning to sew a straight string border
on Maggie's quilt,
so I spent an hour or so cutting strips.
Wish I'd been sewing...
tomorrow!

Can you say red ?

This piece of cotton was ice-dyed with four shades of
Pro Chem's red dyes.
I'm pretty much in love with it.
What am I going to do with all of these ice-dyed pieces?
Just wait....you'll see!

I was recently gifted with this beautiful felted scarf.

The artist who made this is none other than
my friend, Ginny Huber!
I am so thrilled to be its new owner,
and I shall wear it often.

Went out for a paddle in my kayak this afternoon.

since it was 41 at my normal paddling hour this morning,
I opted to wait until it warmed up a bit.
It was lovely: I wore shorts  and short sleeves.

love the little strips of blue sky reflecting here

I spotted this blooming on the bank:

It is Soapwort Gentian,
Gentiana saponaria
- very striking -

how can anyone not love Fall?

thanks for stopping by

peace

Lovely photos, Judy! The dots are going to look great, the red is beautifully red, the scarf is stunning! And your fall is looking wonderful; so different to our very strangely hot spring. What will our summer be like?
