Yesterday was loads of fun, and I'll share only a few of our many highs:

Aha! As you can see, the Friday Harbor Sock is coming along nicely!

You may recall that this is some of the yarn that I dyed with the help of Dr Sock. She then had to come by for a housecall to help me get the ribbing going correctly. But now I am just loving knitting on this little dear!

We went to Ikea to pick up a few things. Perhaps I can show you one of the purchases when C finishes putting it together. Oh, and it's not this kitchen!

The weather was strange yesterday. It was warm in Atlanta, with the thermometer hovering around 62 all day. We had bands of rain, so had to walk Barker between the raindrops, as best we could: he really doesn't like getting his hair mussed up! Here is Stone Mountain as the cold front was beginning to push the rain off to the east:

I love the way the neighborhood just east of us is bathed in sunlight, but Stone Mountain is not.

As the cold front pushed its way across the city, we had more clouds, and Stone Mountain had then captured 'our' sun:

I painted some WonderUnder in the morning

then we went off to run our errands and when we returned home, it was dry and the gold had really become noticeable:

Last night, C and I dined at The Shed, in Glenwood, just down the road a bit. Our waiter Paul was amazing and, since there wasn't a plethora of patrons, he was able to devote a lot of time and attention to us. We shared several small plates including the most wonderful Beef Tartare, Fried Octopus, and Arugula Salad with Tuna Stuffed Piquillo Peppers, and then dove into a large plate serving of Mussels, for which Paul brought us some delicious Challah so that we could sop up the white wine sauce. After reading Rayna's blog about the Valrhona chocolate, I insisted (well, strongly urged) that C and I also share one serving of Profiterole filled with Creme Anglaise and topped with Valrhona Chocolate Sauce. It was divine!

Ahhhhhhhh: the perfect end to a perfect day!

PEACE

First, I am so envious of your evening with Annie! Wouldn't you love to listen to her brain while she worked? Love the yarn and socks. We are battening down the hatches and getting ready for winter to roar in this weekend. Have a great one and I can't wait to see what you do with the WU. Cheers.

Sounds like a great day Judy. We have been having strange weather in MA over the last few days. Crazy amounts of rain on the coast and ice up north.

Love your sock, it looks like it would be difficult to create.

My mouth is watering for one of those profiteroles! We used to have them homemade when I was a kid. Yummy!

Take Care!

Peace!

I've caught up again, now wanting a profiterole. My Mum used to be Queen of the Cream Puff, would turn out a couple of hundred before breakfast for a party or any organisation having a "do". I managed to do a brief blog last night but I lose my computer tomorrow and may need to change ISP & address if I can't get fast access with my current provider. Of all the upheavals, this is bothering me most - which probably means I'm wedded to my computer. Love, CC XXOO
