The Incurable Romantic

This lovely box arrived at our house this afternoon!

I've been married to the same old wonderfully romantic guy for 38+ years now! Ain't it grand!!

These are by far the most gorgeous roses I've ever received...and they came from our friends Troy and John's shop!

Here's what I've been working on in dribs and drabs over the past couple of days.

It is pretty large (maybe 48 x 36) and is textile painted and screened cotton. I plan to either quilt or hand stitch on it (or perhaps both!) and it will hang on one of the as yet bare walls in our Midtown condo.

YES WE CAN!!!

Wow! No silly, not the roses! Your cityscape. It is beautiful! The roses are beautiful also, but the art work is fantastic. Have a great weekend. Cheers.

I love your wall hanging. Is it of Atlanta? Maybe on fire? Just kidding. It looks like a sunset. Good work, and you're lucky to be married to a guy who sends you roses on Valentine's Day.

What a thoughtful and romantic husband you have, and what wonderful roses you've got.

On Tuesday Bertil and I have been married for exactly 36 years, but I've never got any flowers from him. It's not his "thing" if you know what I mean.

He doesn't even know that it's Valentines Day today :/ - but he's a nice guy anyhow ;-)

We call this day:
Alla Hjärtans Dag = All Hearts Day

Lots and lots of Kramar from Sweden on Valentines Day.
