Hector!

We've had a busy week: going here, there, and everywhere, so I am happy to be home and kicking back for a few days. The weather is Spring-like with temps in the low 70s and lovely sunny skies! After the recent cold (and snow), it's nice to have some warmth! I have finally put the finishing stitches on Hector for my Art Quilt class with Jane LaFazio. Here he is: I am learning a tremendous amount from Jane and I love the weekly format! It's akin to creating journal quilts or short stories or short movies. You really concentrate and have a time limit and then you are done and on to the next subject! Short and Sweet! And you really can't beat Jane for a teacher!!! C, Barker and I were on our way home from Atlanta today and since it was such a pretty day, we decided to stop and have a late lunch on the patio at our favorite Chipotle. We were munching and chatting, feeding Barker every other chip along the way, when a cute young lady exited the front door on her way to her car and asked if our dog was named Barker. I was a bit taken aback, and then when we answered yes, she asked if I was Judy. YIKES!! She is Deborah and she lives in Oxford, a wonderful little town east of Atlanta.........and she reads my blog! WooHoo!!! So, a big shoutout to Deborah! Ya know: ya just never know!!! LOL Deborah says she'll leave a comment, so now let's see if she does!!! You guys be on the lookout for her!!! That just totally blew me away, and now I think I'm going to have to be on my best behavior wherever and whenever!!!!

And last but not least, I want to thank Terri for the recommendation of Ann Budd's Diagonal Rib sock pattern. I started it on Tuesday and am about to turn the heal on my first sock! Terri, I just love that pattern, but I may have a question on the heal turning...are you finished with your first sock?

Hope you all have a great weekend!

YES WE CAN!!!

Are you going to create a Hortense for Hector to gaze upon? I do like Hector, is he a heron? So, Barker is now so famous he now has fans - eh? Have a fantastic weekend! Cheers.
