The Camellias are in bloom!
Our first stop was at Andree's Soap shop, which immediately puts your body on sensory overload as you open the door! MMMMMMMM!
I found a few gems, including a delightful bar of Almond & Oatmeal. Read more about the incredible Andree and her soaps here.
I loved it and complimented her on it. She said, "Well, you may have it....the color just isn't good on me."!!!! I was blown away!!!! So I scored big time! (Karen was actually the tour director on this field trip, so we all owe her a lot of thanks for a terrific day.)
This will be a scarf for C, and the yarn is Ella Rae Classic Marls. He loves the color, and I love the texture....makes for some happy knitting!

Next we visited a couple of thrift and consignment shops, where several of us found good deals! Here is my friend Karen. Like her jacket?

Our next stop was for lunch at the White Tiger Gourmet
The White Tiger is owned and operated by Ken, one of our hometown boys, and he is doing a great job. It's a very funky and quaint place, and the food is delicious!!! The day was so pretty that we opted to eat outside.
Next we were off to Main Street Yarns in Watkinsville, an Athens suburb. I thought I had snapped a ton of pics inside the shop, but now realize that I spent so much time browsing that I forgot to take more photographs!
My friend Margaret, who is one of the group, raises exotic hens. I felt very fortunate that she brought us a dozen of their eggs. Some are Araucana, Ameraucana, and Blush:
So, here is one of my purchases from Main Street Yarns:

I'm also 'working' away on my next pair of socks with this yummy Poems Sock yarn:
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope your yesterday was as lovely as mine!

Mine was filled with snow shoveling ;-)

Eye candy galore! Major score on the jacket - love the color. Ah, camellias, how I love you, but you refuse to grow here. My weaknesses are fabric, garden stores, yarn, art supplies, thrift stores, and good soaps and lotions - you managed to hit most of them! Have a wonderful weekend.
So nice to be taken for a walk, I love it. The flowes are so beautiful.
I got a very similar jacket from my p-i-l for Xmas, exactly the same color, felted wool, too, but the cut is for a heavyweight like me. No question I love also this one!
What a grand day out with your buddies!! I love days like this!! Just in time for you as I imagine that you are having lots of rain now! the snow has started to fall, schools are closed and it looks like tom will not be traveling to Europe tomorrow. We will see if we really get the 2 ft that theya re predicting!! YIKES!!! Have a great weekend and don't float away!!!
Hugs!
