Winter Wonderland

It's truly a magical winter wonderland here! I snapped about fifty pictures last night and on our walk this morning, but I'll spare you most of them. As I sit here writing, I'm watching about a dozen Hooded Mergansers and Buffleheads on our lake. They are gorgeous and symbolize the winter months to me, as they migrate north during warmer weather.

Thanks so much for all of your nice words about my Caribbean Wave Cape. I will take it to At The Collective tomorrow and offer it for sale. Rayna asked about the fabric: it comes wavy just as you see it from Thai Silks. It would even be lovely undyed, just as a simple summer sleeveless top. Oh, wait: that gives me an idea! LOL Caroline asked if it was the fabric that made the cape stay put while wearing: no, it's the cut of the cape. I'll try to post some pics with it on a live person, so you can understand why that is so.

In between snapping pics of the snow, I added a few beads to the above lemon fru-fru. They aren't easy to work with, especially when you have large and undainty digits like mine! LOL But I do the best I can!

OK, here's where you can click the off button if you've already had enough snow pictures!

did you notice how blue the sky is?

Lovely winter pics, but you are way behind of the amount of snow that we have here in the southern parts of Sweden ;-)
What exacyely is a fru-fru? I can see it in the picture of course, but what do you use it for?

Lots of warm hugs from a cold Sweden!

here is a definition of fru-fruhttp://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=fru+fru
it's simply a 'girly accessory'....it has a pin-back so it can be attached to a jacket or a sweater or even a cute hat!

Winter Wonderland indeed! I see the Birk as a potential screen print? Have fun making snow angels.

Wonderful to see your snowy photos, the exact opposite here - hot and wet. I'm trying to stay cool and dry but I have to say, much as we need rain, I'm really over the mud. Your cape is gorgeous, scarf too. That silk, and what you do to it, is just delicious. Hugs to Barker xo

What a difference! A blue sky makes a winter landscape so much nicer. Although I got enough of that snow, I enjoy looking at your landscapes!
