This is my first Arashi Shibori piece using the Colorhue dyes. The scarf is a 44" square of silk habotai .........and obviously I have learned that in order for the dye to be a bit more even, I need to really get that dye into the layers. I think that the total immersion techniques using Procion MX dyes that I learned with Jan Myers-Newbury worked better, even though the colors weren't quite as delicious on silk as on cotton and rayon. Oh well!

On another totally different note, I want to ask you to help out a long lost family member, cousin Ben, who is hoping to win a stint as a broadcaster on his local Delaware TV station. All you have to do is go here and your vote will be counted - oh, and while you're there, check out his YouTube video! The beauty of this is that you can vote every single day until April 1st. If I'm a good cousin, I'll remind you every single day to go here and vote for my darling cousin Ben..........isn't he the cutest!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

PEACE

I voted, too. Which family does he belong to? Ours, or are there Carpenters in your family, too?
