Too Much Fun!

This afternoon was too much fun in the studio! Nobody should be allowed to have such a great time! I mean, really!!!! I had decided that the silk scarf below was too blah, so I created a silkscreen and discharged over the scarf.....the results of which you can see above.

When I was learning Shibori, I created this scarf. It didn't sell, obviously, so I'm trying to help it along. What do you think?

This morning, I ran out to the studio and pulled these guys out of the rust bath. I really liked the first one...... but then when I saw the second one, I liked it even better!

These will probably be used on one of the wall hangings for my sister-in-law, Molly.

I also did a bit of silkscreening with textile paint. This is the rinse water from the brayer. I think I may print this onto fabric.

And lastly, I loved the silkscreen that I created so much, that I decided to use the last of my discharge paste on this tee. I'm really happy with how it turned out!

PEACE

Wow! You did have fun today! I love the screened scarf and especially the tee. The rusted fabrics are fantastic. I like the depth that the rusting creates. Looking forward to seeing what fun you get into tomorrow!
