And the winners are.............

Thanks to all who left lovely comments regarding my 900th+ post, and to all who wanted to take part in the book drawing!  Sorry for the delay in posting the winners, but I had to wait 'till C came home so that he could draw the names out of the bag.......Barker refused to help with this!  So, Connie won The Art of Manipulating Fabric by Colette Wolff, and Angela's name was drawn for Simple Sewing for Baby by Lotta Jansdotter.  Connie, I will need your snail mail address, so if you could email me with that please.  I will be seeing Angela in San Antonio on Saturday, so I hope it is ok to simply bring the book along in my luggage.

I'm packed and pretty much ready to leave for San Antonio, so today I did some mindless sewing, just to keep myself busy.

These are two of the blocks for my grandbaby's quilt.  I've always loved the Log Cabin Block but have never had the opportunity to make a quilt from it.  I decided that since the baby's parents are both engineers, they might appreciate the lines and squares in this construction.  Wonky, they are not!  LOL  The walls in the nursery are pale yellow, the draperies are chocolate brown, and the trim and furniture are white, so I think this quilt will work well.  Mindless sewing is good for me right now!

PEACE

I love that you call this mindless sewing! It would certainly be a challenge for me. The fabrics are working beautifully - this will be a quilt to become a family heirloom. Enjoy your time away. xx

The baby blanket is wonderful. I love that it is not pink or blue!!! I bet it will be appreciated by both baby and parents. :-)

Have a great time in San Antonio!

Congratulations Angela and Connie!!! The fabrics in the baby quilt are lovely. Log cabin is one of my favorite designs. That will be a binkie that is treasured.
