Charlie and I love to collect acorns.
They are really quite amazing,
coming in all shapes, sizes and colors -
even those from the same tree.
We always have a great time piling them up at his house
and last week we found an abundance of them
around our little cottage on Squam Lake.
I even brought home a stash
so that I could sketch and paint them....
not that we don't have our own plentiful supply right here,
but they're not the same...
these were vacation acorns!

Charlie and I would have so much fun together! Going for walks and coming home with our pockets full of "treasures". Vacation acorns are special - they remind you of the time spent together. Your painting is wonderful. Way to go!(I was making a nectarine crisp and thought "Judy would keep the pits and wrap cloth around them". So, there is a pile of nectarine pits waiting for cloth. ;D)
