I've been trying some new techniques with my leaf printing.
Two days ago, I printed Sweet Gum leaves
from my yard
on silk.
I was totally amazed at how beautifully they printed.
There were also a few other leaves in the mix,
I think that may be Maple at the bottom,
and there were a couple of Sourwoods as well.
Below you can see about half of the piece of silk -
it's about 72" long,
the length I like for a scarf.
I'm really pleased with the outcome.
I also printed more paper in the same pot.
(I just can't get enough of the paper thing!)
These will all be wonderful in a book!
These leaves were also brushed with egg,
but I took a bit more care this time around,
and there was no staining.
.........and yes, I am having a very good time -
hope you are too!
peace
