This is the piece of linen
that I eco-dyed at the beach.
I love, love, love it!
The colors are very muted
and sweet,
but the leaf forms are definitely there.
I had soaked the linen
in sea water and dried it,
before wrapping it on a copper pipe.
Here's a detail shot:
All of the leaves that were used
were found scattered amongst the shells along the beach.
another detail shot:
I love the small faint green leaf at the top!
and one last detail of the linen:
I had brought along a recycled 100% cotton tee,
thinking it would be great to wear when we walked the dogs.
Well, when I began to run low on fabric to eco dye,
I decided to use the tee:
and a bit of detail here below:
I will wear this tee all through
our summer....
bringing me fond memories of our week at the beach!
thanks for dropping by!
as always, peace to you!

ohhh this is cool!!! love it!
More information! How long did you let them sit before unwrapping them?
Beautiful! Sans glasses, the leaves look like birds. :)
Please don't tell the eco-dyeing police, but I believe these pieces were put in the pot on Friday, and I unfurled them the following Wednesday, when they were bone dry. I couldn't wait another minute, let alone 2 weeks!
