I was amazed to see that the last time I blogged
was also when it snowed!
We don't get snow that often,
but this year seems to be an extreme,
and it's snowed twice now in two weeks.
That said, the forecasters are saying we will have ice tomorrow.
I'd rather have snow!
(This is not our house! I snapped this on
the main thoroughfare through our little town
as I was heading home from PT this noon.)
I've been very busy,
not only at home,
but seeing doctors and my new best friend:
my fabulous physical therapist Kristi!
We've only had 2 sessions, but I'm already
moving my arms like a pro!
Artwise, I've been consumed with paper-piecing hearts:
The top heart has since had borders added,
and both hearts have been quilted.
My intent is to make more blocks and then
make a small quilt for the grand cherubs.
Note: that is my intent!!!
I've also been knitting a lot!
I think I shared with you the hat that I knit for Maggie.
She didn't like it:

So now I'm starting another new hat for Maggie…
and one for Charlie too!
I also finished these wonderful socks

We had an art date last Friday
to the High Museum.
We hadn't been since I started chemo,
so it was great to be back.
The Wild West exhibit is awesome.
I learned a lot about Frederick Remington,
N.C. Wyeth, and many others.
There is also a great printmakers show running
at the High right now.
I fell in love with one phenomenal piece by
Her work has so much depth!

My friend Gerrie Congdon had urged me to do
some snow-dyeing when we last had frozen precip.
I never got around to it,
so this afternoon, I thought I'd take advantage.
Here's how things are looking right now:
I've just heard that we're supposed to get
another 3-5" tomorrow,
so there may actually be more snow-dyeing in
the near future!

love the snow dyeing and paper piecing; am not surprised that maggie didn't like the hat; nothing personal but my little one hates anything on her head..especially if someone else puts it there! Maybe charlie will not ahve the same reaction! Hope you get more snow but not ice..and will look forward to the ned snow dyeing. Glad your new best friend/PT has got your arms moving well...
Wow!!! You have been busy. I love the socks. The cables are beautiful and the color- gorgeous!!! Poor Maggie, but Kristin looks so cute in the hat, maybe it found its rightful owner. The snow is beautiful! I broke down yesterday and gave it a whirl, too. So, I wait for snow to melt inside and outside! LOL! Have a wonderful week.
Hi Judy, your posts are always so interesting and everything you touch is beautiful. It doesn't matter if you're quilting, knitting or any of the many creative things that you do. You just seem to have an amazing talent for creating beauty.
I have just started paper piecing and i've been making hexagons. For the last two weeks it has become my evening lap project. Now I'm off the see the link you have for paper piecing.

i have done paper piecing but could never really get into it...i prefer sewing without the paper but it does make for precision. love that red heart. and poor little Maggie...already telling you what she doesn't like. your snow dyeing is amazing.
