Snow Dyeing Part Deux plus plus plus!

Life's been crazy busy around here lately -
AND THAT IS GOOD!
Who would want it any other way?
I'm having to prioritize everything…
and family is winning out in first place!
That's the best decision for me.
So, a week after my snow-dyeing washout,
I am finally posting pictures for you.
I appreciate your patience.
These pieces of cotton were dyed with two shades
of ProChem's blue (navy & 400, I think)
 and their lovely Burnt Orange,
which just happens to be one of my all-time
favorite dyes!!!
Again, my plan is to use these pieces for
table runners and napkins.

I just love the results, don't you?
Many areas remind me of hydrangeas.

My wonderful friend Jeannie sent me
a gigantic care package right before my surgery.
One of the wonderful things inside was a
big, fat Amaryllis bulb.
If you didn't already know this about me,
I love Amaryllis'!!!
After they bloom indoors,
I plant them in my garden,
so that I can continue to enjoy them
year after year.
Jeannie's is finally opening -
I think the anticipation is so much fun!!

I've been given the thumbs up to do any and all
exercises now, so my Valentines' kayak
is providing me with the time of my life
out on our little lake.
I see my Physical Therapist two days a week,
for an hour each session.
She and I get along really well,
and it is more like a whole-body-mind-spirit
session, rather than just the body!
She gives me great encouragement,
and makes me want to do my exercises when at home.
So, I do all of my stretches twice a day,
for a half hour at a time.
That takes a huge chunk out of my day,
but it is well worth the time and effort.
I'm back at the gym,
taking part in my regular exercise classes.
It feels so good!
At first I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to lift
the weighted bar over my head and onto my shoulders,
but I can!!!
YAYYYYY!
So I'm doing it all!
I'm also spending at least one afternoon a week
with my Grand Cherubs.
They are precious and so much the reason
for me getting back to normal as soon as possible!

So, that is why I only blog sporadically now.
I know you will understand!

Thanks for stopping by!
Peace to you and yours!

Bye for now!

This post makes my heart happy. I am thrilled that you are felling so good and I am so envious of the kayak! Your cloth is gorgeous! The top looks like a dramatic summer storm. I also see iris blossoms in the others (yes, I am desperate for spring). Have fun, my friend!!!

Judy, Judy, Judy!!! I covet those fabrics!!! What perfect stormy skies ... Wow!!! Now I want more snow here in NC to see if I can get something half as beautiful. My last efforts failed miserably! So happy your healing is going so well. You are amazing!!!

What a wonderful post! I love, love... LOVE your snow dyes! And I am really thrilled at your progress with PT and exercises... the more you do, the more you will be able to do, and it sounds like you want to do as much as possible! Blog when you can, but more importantly, enjoy yourself!

Oh my word, I just want to handle those fabrics. There is such depth in the patterns that you have got.

So glad that you are really back into the swing of things too.

Oddly my amaryllis bloomed this week. I thought at one stage nothing was going to happen.
