YeeHaw!

Well, I got exactly what I was hoping for:

I dyed, waxed, discharged, and overdyed with this exact result in mind and voila: it actually happened!  The picture really doesn't do it justice, as the orange is more orange and the red-violet is more of a magenta, but you get the general idea.

I even like the dewax bath, with all of the wax glistening on the surface

I spent the morning in the garden.........where else?

my poppies are in love with the warm days and the cool nights.......aren't they so cute!!

and look:

I've almost completed the (dreaded) project!   It's been a lot of work, but the results are so great!  I think I will clear the vigorous and damned periwinkle all the way to the Viburnum and then call it quits.  I may plant daylilies there or perhaps a couple of blueberry bushes.  Hmmmmm: what do you think?

It was a beautiful morning in the garden...........can you see the guy in his little kayak?  There's always a lovely cooling breeze off of the lake, which seems to revive me just when I think I can't work another minute!

Hope you're having a great weekend.

PEACE

I think I have first dibs on moving in with you!LOL! That pool looks so inviting. I am drawing a blank on a new adjective for the fabric - fabulous & gorgeous doesn't quite say it. Your yard is so beautiful. Have a great week.
